The Orlando Magic and Florida Hospital have teamed up to host Pink in the Paint Breast Cancer Awareness Night on October 20 at the Magic vs. Pistons matchup, tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. The night will feature a “VIP Pink” pregame reception for more than 100 breast cancer survivors, pink Magic T-shirts to the first 4,000 fans, “bam-bam” sticks at the door to the next 5,000 fans and the Magic coaching staff will wear pink ties during the game.

Six Central Florida breast cancer survivors will be the featured honorees at the game taking part in the high-five lineup with the players during introductions. FanFest outside on Church Street pregame will include Florida Hospital’s Pink Army mobile mammogram unit for mammograms on-site, local breast cancer awareness groups’ information tables, games and a DJ. The Magic are also encouraging fans to wear pink to the game.

Leading up to the night, the Magic will donate five dollars for every ticket purchased through orlandomagic.com/pink to support the funding of mammograms and treatment for underserved women in Orlando. With Central Florida holding the highest rate of stage IV breast cancer in the state, the Magic’s “Pink in the Paint” Night presented by Florida Hospital provides a way to continue the team’s health and wellness efforts, one of the Magic’s three community focus areas.
