Lightning captain Vinny Lecavalier won't be skating back out on to the ice for the foreseeable future.

Lecavalier will be out indefinitely with a lower-body injury, the team announced Thursday. He'll be out at least seven days after being placed on injured reserve.

The 32-year old sustained the injury in the final minutes of Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Panthers after colliding with an opposing player. He limped off the ice.

The Lightning called up center Tyler Johnson from AHL Syracuse to replace Lecavalier. The 22-year old leads the AHL with 32 goals.
