The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Merritt Island linebacker Ty Schwab commits to Boston College.

Schwab had offers from Tulane, Western Michigan, UMass and UTEP on the table before getting the official call from Boston College head coach Steve Addazio last week.

“I committed right there on the phone. I love that school,” Schwab said in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel.

“I went up there and fell in love with the school, fell in love with the coaching staff, the school, everything … It’s been my favorite school since I was a little kid. It’s my dream school and I couldn’t pass up an offer like this.”
