New Conference, new year and new talent will all come together this fall for the Knights.

Nine freshmen from Central Florida and the Bay Area join the roster as "newbies," while experienced local athletes take the reins of a program in which they led to a Bowl Title last season.

“It was great to end the season on that note," Oviedo Alum and Knights QB Blake Bortles said. "Especially as an offense for the most part coming back this season with the same core group of guys.”

Coach George O'Leary has said in the past that Central Florida is a hot bed for recruiting and finding talent and clearly that is not a lie.

Almost 20 local athletes will suit up for the Knights this year including Edgewater Alum and now UCF Senior E.J. Dunston.

"'I've enjoyed every minute of it, just being here and being local," Edgewater Alum and Knights DL E.J. Dunston said. "The best part of being local is the fact that my family can come to every game."
