You knew Javon Harrison would make a play. Only question was, would Lake Wales have an answer?

Harrison started off the second half of Kathleen's kickoff classic with a 96-yard kick return for a touchdown, putting the Red Devils up 20-16, but the Highlanders didn't back down, scoring the final two touchdowns of the game. They edged the Red Devils 31-27.

A safety and a two-yard touchdown run by Justin Henderson put the Highlanders up 9-0 in the opening quarter, but Kathleen answered in the second, scoring on a Kevin Wilson touchdown strike to Marquis Zimmeran.

Lake Wales scored the big play of the day, a 78-yard touchdown strike to junior Marcus Walker, taking a 16-7 lead. Kathleen scored again before the half, pulling to within three on an Anthony Ware touchdown run.

After back-to-back scores by the Red Devils to open the second half, Lake Wales found the end zone twice in a four-minue span, taking the lead for good.
