This week: Plant goes on the road to take on Tampa Bay Tech. Starting offensive lineman Richard Bush suffered a foot injury vs. Bloomingdale and is awaiting test results to determine the extent of damage and his availability against the Titans.
3. Armwood Hawks (4-0)
Last week: The Hawks won their third-consecutive district game with a 27-0 victory against Robinson.
This week: Armwood travels to Jefferson for what should determine the Class 6A-8 district champion.
4. East Lake Eagles (4-0)
Last week: The Eagles defeated Clearwater 61-16, the first points they have allowed this season.
This week: East Lake hosts Tarpon Springs.
5. Lakeland Dreadnaughts (4-0)
Last week: Haines City held it close for a while, but the Dreadnaughts junior Ra’Don Dwight literally ran away with the game, scoring five rushing touchdowns in the 39-18 win.
This week: Lakeland hosts North Miami Beach.
6. Jefferson Dragons (3-0)
Last week: The Dragons had a valuable idle week, giving them extra time to prepare for Armwood.
This week: Jefferson hosts the Hawks, who have allowed only an average of 3.5 points per game this season, while the Dragons are averaging 36 points per game.
7. Largo Packers (3-1)
Last week: Jarvis Stewart led the Packers to a 34-14 victory over Jesuit.
