RUSKIN - Lennard High's Diontae Johnson can do it all.  The Longhorn senior is a star baseball, basketball, and football player.  However, every now and then, he does something so special that even his own coaches are pleasantly surprised.

"Personally, I didn't know how good Diantae would be," said Lennard football coach Keith Chattin.  "I knew he was an athlete, but I didn't know how good he would be.  He's been sensational."

When the Longhorns played Jefferson last week, Johnson caught three passes for touchdowns, and returned a kick 85-yards for another score: all in the first half.

"I have that mentality," Johnson said. "I score until they stop me, and they didn't stop me."

Johnson has helped turn the program around.  Just two years ago they went 0-10, last year they went 1-9, but so far in the early going, they are 6-1 this season.  With Johnson at wide receiver, the future of the longhorn football team seems full of endless potential.
