Victory Christian avenged last year's loss in the FHSAA 2A state championship game, thanks to Caleb Lewis.

Lewis threw six touchdown passes last weekend, leading Victory Christian to a 2A title victory over Indian Rocks Christian. Lewis was named the BHSN Athlete of the Week.

"My WR made it really easy for me," Lewis said. "They made great plays after the catch. Our line did a great job of holding everyone off. I'm just proud of my teammates for how they stepped up."

Sure, his teammates helped, but it was Lewis who rose to the occasion. More impressively, in his four years of high school football, he graduates with three titles.

"It just speaks to the coaches I've had, especially with my dad leading every group of young men he has had to state championships," Lewis said.

His father, Tommy, has had a front-row seat every step of the way.

"Having a young man like that at the helm of your team as a QB is every coaches desire," Tommy Lewis, Victory Christian's head coach, said. "Yet, I'm very proud of him as a father."
