The Sunlake Seahawks upset the Gulf Buccaneers 2-1 in 5A district 8 for their first playoff win in program history.
The Seahawks, who were just 2-6 in in district play, knocked off a Buccaneer team that had only one loss in district play.
Senior pitcher Danielle Micciche held the Buccaneers to just one run and drove in the game-winning run with a single to center. Jaycee Holmes scored to make it 2-1.
Sunlake will play the winner of River Ridge-Tarpon Wednesday night.
