To say Tuesday's 8A-7 District Semifinal between Alonso and Bloomingdale was a pitcher's duel would be an understatement.
Ravens' starter Alex Faedo and Bulls' starter Logan Crouse held both teams scoreless through six innings, allowing just two hits each.
But in the top of the 7th, Crouse reached base on a walk and then scored what would be the game-winning run on an Alonso error to put Bloomingdale in Thursday's district final 1-0.
Both Crouse and Faedo ended the game combining for 17 strikeouts.
In game two, Plant's Stephen Chamblee hit a two-run single in the 1st inning and that would be enough for the Panthers to take down Riverview 2-0.
