Ten years ago, Windham Rotunda was a star football player at Hernando High School.

He wasn’t too shabby on the wrestling mat either, winning a state championship in 2005.

Doing both so well made it hard at times to choose the right path. But after finishing his career playing offensive line at Troy University, Rotunda knew it was time to pursue his true calling.

He ended up returning home and began his career at Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa back in 2009. After three years of wrestling as Alex Rotundo, Duke Rotundo and joining the NXT, he would take on the bizarre character of Bray Wyatt.

Wyatt leads a faction called the Wyatt Family, walks to the ring with the lights out and a lantern in his hand and has a finishing move called “Sister Abigail”. Nothing he does is considered normal. But if you ask him, that is just the way he wants it to be.

After a tremendous showing the past year and at Wrestlemania , Wyatt is consideredone of the company’s true rising stars. Sunday at 7:30 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, Bray Wyatt battles Chris Jericho. Tickets are still available and you can watch it live on the WWE network.

Wyatt paid a visit to Bright House Sports Network and talked about his rise to stardom.
