1. Clearwater Central Catholic - The Marauders are due to break through in the state semifinals after losses in back-to-back years. Shea Hamilton, Wake Forest commit Katie Moore and Rachel Odell all return, as does Sara Brown and Maria Jose Amundaray. Watch out, Tampa Bay.

2. Steinbrenner - The Warriors program hasn't been around long, but they've had a winning tradition ever since the school opened in 2009. A state semifinal appearance last year was just the beginning. Get used to hearing the names Avery Bradshaw, Lauren Heldt and Brooke Royals. They're one good trio.

3. Bloomgindale - Tampa Bay's kill's leader - Karissa Rhoades - returns, as does Chelsea Chavers, Reagan Huet, Abby Bernaldo and Emily Doyle. This should be the Bulls' year.

4. Manatee - There may not be a more all-around talented player in Manatee county than Jacqui Armer. The LSU commit leads a young, hungry group in 2014.

5. Berkeley Prep - The Buccaneers lost a ton from 2013's roster, including Sidney Brown, Logan Weldon and Maddy Raquet. It'll be a young squad for John Coup, but don't be surprised if sophomore sensations Dallas Adams, Morgan Reyes amd Madison Jenkins have breakout years.

6. Tampa Prep - Corey Perkins was a star last year and should continue to lead the Terps in 2014. Alana Nelson and Ariana Mosley also made this group the favorite in 3A-7.

7. George Jenkins - The Eagles made the regional finals two of the last three years, and will hope to get back there behind Kelly Germain and Tori Clark.

8. Plant - Angel Gaskin and Kyuana King will lead a Panthers squad in 2013 that went undefeated in district play last season.

9. Lakewood Ranch - It was a dissapointing (to say the least) finish for the Mustangs last year, falling to Gulf Coast in straight sets in the regional finals. Four seniors are gone from the roster, including star Ashlyn Falahee, but Nicole Grant and Coleen Campbell are back.

10. Calvary Christian - The Warriors return a young squad, all four of their top kills leaders and star Anna Vollmer.
