Friday night Saint Stephen's couldn't get any offense going in a rainy and messy loss to Windermere Prep.

The Falcons fell to the visiting Lakers 49-12 following a two hour rain delay.

Saint Stephen's played catch up all game, allowing senior Michael Stone to return the opening kick for a touchdown.

"You never want to allow a team to jump out to an early lead, but it didn't change our game plan," Falcons head coach Tod Creneti said. "We just weren't able to get anything going afterwards."

Even in the poor conditions Lakers' quarterback Parker Davis was able to complete 50% of his passes while throwing two touchdowns.

"We like to try and score early and tonight we were able to, from that point Davis did a great job completing passes," Windermere Prep head coach Jacob Doss said.

Saint Stephens averaging 29.2 points per game coming into tonight's contest, couldn't keep the game competitive offensively.

"The weather is no excuse, both teams played in the same conditions we just missed opportunities to score," coach Creneti said.

Saint Stephens (3-2) playing 22 underclassmen on a roster of 32, did take some positives from the game.

"We forced them to punt twice tonight, they hadn't punted all season so that's a credit to our defense," coach Creneti said.

Saint Stephen's quarterback Dortavien Billy showed some heart in the loss, scoring on an 80-yard touchdown run but it just wasn't enough.

"He is a quick kid, you give him a little daylight and you won't catch him," coach Doss said.

Next week the Falcons look to bounce back as they host Santa Fe Christian.
