UPDATE: Orlando Pride NWSL team officially announced

The previous story continues below.

The Orlando City Soccer Club has invited fans to a "special announcement" Tuesday at noon next to the Lake Eola amphitheater.

While the club wouldn't say what the special announcement was, many fans on social media seem to think the organization will unveil plans to add a women's team under the Orlando City banner.

Orlando City tweeted the invitation Monday afternoon, along with an image of the Lake Eola fountain accompanied by the words "Good Things Come in Threes."

Of note, a National Women's Soccer League team would be the third to bear the name "Orlando City." The organization last week announced the creation of a United Soccer League team, dubbed Orlando City B, to play its home games in Brevard County.

Bright House Sports Network will have complete coverage Tuesday of Orlando City's official announcement.
