Two Tampa Catholic High School athletes signed their National Letters of Intent today in a ceremony at the school.

Basketball standout Thomas Dziagwa signed with the Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma and Crusader baseball pitcher A.J. Chacon will continue his career at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.

Dziagwa was 1st team all-state, 1st team all-county, and selected to the county coaches association all-star team last year. He averaged 26.8 points/game. He led the state in made 3 pointers with 119 and he shot 82%
from the foul line last year. In 2 pre-season games this year he has scored 31 and 35 points. He also averaged 5 assists per game last season.

Chacon is a left-handed pitcher and a four year starter for the Crusader baseball program. He pitched in 23 games for the Crusaders in 2015 with a 4-2 record and an ERA of 1.40. He also hit .326 with 12 RBI’s and 5 doubles.
