4A: Cardinal Gibbons wins 20th state title, defeating Trinity Catholic 4-1

Trinity Catholic Ocala's bid for their first state title in school history was denied by perennial power Cardinal Gibbons.

Cardinal Gibbons was led by Daniella Molinari (14 kills, 11 digs, 4 blocks), Bailey Pearlman (15 kills) and Sarah Martin (14 kills, 3 aces, 6 digs).

Trinity Catholic dropped the first set 20-25, then went on to win the second and fourth sets, 25-20.

Ryan Tuten led the Celtics with 15 kills, 5 digs and 2 blocks.

5A: Bishop Moore returns to glory, wins 5th state title

The Bishop Moore Hornets under head coach Tanya Jarvis have done it again.

The Hornets knocked off the Bishop Kenny Crusaders in straight sets to win the 5A state championship.

Head Coach Tanya Jarvis has been a part of all of Bishop Moore's state championship teams. She played on the 1999 & 2000 teams and coached the Hornets to back-to-back state titles (2012, 2013).

The Hornets led by a quartet of six-footers, loaded the front row and easily beat the Crusaders in the first two sets, 13-25, 12-25.

OH Shannon Crenshaw led both teams with 12 kills, MH Morgan Davis finished with 9 kills, MH Claire Meier had 8 kills and S Marlie Monserez had 5 kills.

6A: Mitchell Mustangs fall short in first state finals appearance

In Mitchell's first state finals appearance in school history, the Mustangs came up short.

Jensen Beach won their 4th state title in school history, defeating Mitchell 25-16, 25-12, 25-20.

Jensen Beach was led by Madi Bell who had 17 kills and 11 digs and Jenna Johnson who finished the night with 12 kills.

The Mustangs were led by Jessie Mooney (8 kills, 2 aces) and Selena Kriston (9 kills).

7A: Plant Panthers fold as St. Thomas Aquinas wins back-to-back state titles

After a five year drought, the Plant Panthers made a triumphant return to the state title game only to be swept by the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders, 16-25, 17-25, 15-25.

In her first season at Plant, head coach Margeaux Sinibaldi brought the 10-time state champion Panthers back to relevance.

Four months after taking the job, Sinibaldi led the Panthers to a 27-3 record and a run that came up short in the 7A state title game.

Freshman OH Camryn Vogler led the Panthers with 6 kills. MB Kaylie Butts finished with 5 kills and 5 digs.

Under Lisa Zielinski's 28-season tenure, the Raiders won the 7A title for the second year in a row and have four state championships in total.

St Thomas OH Brook Bauer led all players with 15 kills, an ace and a block. L Kaylie McHugh finished with 3 aces and 14 kills.

8A: Winter Springs Bears win first state title in school history

Winter Springs caps a 30-2 season with their first state title in school history.

The Bears came out strong winning the first two sets over the Jupiter Warriors 14-25, 15-25.

The Bears dropped the third set, rallied in the fourth, 14-25.

Winter Springs (30-2) was led all-time Central Florida kills leader, Payton Caffrey. She finishes her high school career with 1,951 kills, including 26 in the state title game.

Jupiter was led by Jaeden Brown who finished the game with 14 kills.
