It was a sensational night of  hockey at Amalie Arena for the Lightning High School Hockey League.

The Jesuit Tigers led by 2004 Lightning Stanley Cup Champion defenseman Jassen Cullimore defeated the Steinbrenner Warriors 8-5.

Jesuit forward Jason Kohlhepp scored 5 goals in the win and was named BHSN player of the game.

Jesuit goalie Sean Lanoue made 23 saves in the win.

With the win, Jesuit improves to 7-3-3 and remains in first place in the Andreychuck division.

It was an emotional nighty for the Steinbrenner Warriors who lost their teammate, Drew Carathanasis who died suddenly last Thursday.

Before the game, both teams paused for a moment of silence and a touching tribute on the jumbo tron at Amalie Arena.

Drew's twin brother Kyle scored two goals in the game.

Freedom over George Jenkins, 4-2


The Freedom Patriots led by head coach Mike Grande improve to 4-6-1 with a 4-2 win over George Jenkins.

Jenkins goalie Cory Carrieri had a stellar night with 23 saves, but in the end it wasn't enough.

Freedom forward Tyler Young scored 2 goals in the win and was named the BHSN player of the game.

The Freedom Patriots are now 5-0 when featured on BHSN.
