For the third straight season, Sunlake's bid for a state title game appearance came up one game short, as Choctawhatchee dominated the Seahawks in a 2-0 victory in the 3A State Semifinals.
Goals from Sean Hoffstatter and Khalee Wilson paved the way for the Indians, as they advance to their second straight championship game, after falling to Merritt Island 5-0 in the 2014 3A Championship.
It was only the second time all season Sunlake had allowed more than one goal. Junior Daniel Hrenko finishes the season with 21 shutouts, and now has a state-record 62 career shutouts.
Choctawhatchee will face the winner of Merritt Island-Immokalee in the 3A Championship live on Bright House Sports Network on Friday at 8 PM.
