The Lakeland Dreadnaughts are mourning the loss of a very special friend.
Longtime Dreadnaughts supporter Rose Angela Mastalski passed away last Thursday.
Mastalski and her husband Andy have been mainstays at Lakeland football games for decades. They were recognizable in the large crowds with their crocheted Dreadnaughts ship hats.
The Mastalskis also blanketed the school and the community with their handmade crochet "mug rugs".
Family and friends will gather tonight from 5-7 p.m. at the Lakeland Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Rose's life will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
