RHP Chris Archer will replace the injured Alex Cobb as the Tampa Bay Rays' Opening Day starter April 6th vs. Baltimore.
Manager Kevin Cash made the announcement on Thursday.
Archer will replace Cobb, who is battling forearm tendinitis.
It will be the first Opening Day start for Archer, 26, who went 10-9 last season with a 3.33 ERA.
