Here is this week's BHSN Bay-area Top 10 baseball poll.

1. Northeast (7-0) - One of the lone undefeateds in the Tampa Bay area, the Vikings have allowed just 11 runs in seven games. Colton Tison is 3-0, hasn't allowed a ruun and has 16 strikeouts.

2. Winter Haven (7-0) - The top-ranked team in Class 6A, Pat Borders' Winter Haven Blue Devils are rolling out the gate, with wins over Lakeland, Jenkins and Tenoroc. The Blue Devils feature a balanced lineup, with six players registering four-or-more RBI already.

3. Dunedin (7-1) - What a start for the Falcons, who destroyed East Lake 12-0 last week. Six players are hitting above, .390, led by senior Logan Jones, who is hitting .500 with 12 hits, four doubles and eight RBIs in eight games. Colton Widdows is 3-0 on the mound with a 0.00 ERA.

4. Alonso (5-1) - Big wins over Gaither and Plant early in the season for the Ravens, who are led by a trio of stars in their lineup, Jose Ciccarello (.522, 1 RBI), Mason Turner (.417, 1 RBI) and Andrew Abbott (.375, 1 HR, 9 RBI). Nick Kennedy (3-0, 1.11 ERA) has also been money on the mound.

5. Seminole (5-1) - Is there a hotter hitter in the Bay area than Jacob Silverstien? He's hitting .714 in six games, with 10 hits and five RBI. Tough stretch ahead for the Warhawks, with games agaisnt P-Park, Winter Haven and Northeast.

6. Newsome (6-1) - The Wolves' resume includes wins over Alonso, Bloomingdale and Plant. The Saladino tournament awaits.

7. Brandon (6-1) - A tough loss at Durant, but other than that, the Eagles have been really, really good, allowing just 12 runs outside of that game. Antonio Velez is 4-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 36 K's in 19.2 IP.

8. Hillsborough (7-0) - The Terriers have just one win over an opponents with a winning record (Armwood), but still feature a team hitting .319 as a hole.

9. Hernando (6-1) - A couple of one-run wins for the Leopards early in the year.

10. Haines City (5-0-1) - A great start to the year for the Hornets, who have wins over Jesuit, Lakeland Christian and Sebring.
