Dr. Phillips earned the Class 4A Boys State Team Title after taking the 200m and 4 x 800m relay Saturday at Hodges Stadium on the campus of UNF for the 2015 State Track Finals.

Junior Alvin Bryant, the standout, running a 21.13 in the 200m. 

Some repeat winners taking more than one event, including 4A girls hurdler Ashley Miller of East Ridge who swept the 100 and 300 hurdles. Sinclaire Johnson of Lake Brantley also finishing with two golds, winning both the 800 and 1600. 

In 3A, Osceola's Jennifer Kistemaker cleared 11-06.00 in the pole vault. Chloe Jones of Hillsborough threw 40-10.50 in the shot-put for the gold. 

On the track Mainland's Adrian Killins faired pretty well, taking gold in the 200m and silver in the 100m.

Brittany McGee’s four gold medals Friday afternoon was mroe than enough to give Admiral Farragut girls Class 1A Team State Title on Friday.

The Stanford-bound track star took gold in the long jump (19-03.75), triple jump (38-08.00), 100-meter hurdles (13.98) and 300-meter hurdles (44.39) to score 40 of the teams 76 points.

One of the most decorated athletes in Class 2A goes to Pasco junior Alfreda Steele, who placed first in the 100 meter dash (11.44) and long jump (19-00.00), while collecting two silvers in the 200-meter dash and 4x100 relay.

Cocoa junior Chauncey Gardner also made a splash winning both the 100-meter (10.38) and 200-meter dashes (20.12) in his first appearance on the state stage.
