Through three innings of action, Citrus High was more than hanging with nationally-ranked Mosley. The Hurricanes were winning.

That lead wouldn't last. Mosley, ranked 26th in the nation, came back to beat Citrus 5-2 and advance to Saturday's Class 5A title game.

The Dolphins will face Archbishop McCarthy LIVE on BHSN Channel 47/HD 1147 for the 5A championship.

Citrus got off to a great start. Brooks Basher's RBI single scored Ben Crofchick in the bottom of the first for an early 1-0 lead. Basher was hurt in the second inning and helped off the field by trainers. The Canes No. 3 batter collided with his first baseman during a play.

Mosley eventually answered in the fourth with three runs to go ahead 3-1. Citrus cut that lead to one in the bottom of the fifth when a passed ball allowed Austin Bogart to score. But the Canes squandered other scoring opportunities when they left runners stranded at second and third.

The Dolphins extended their lead to 5-2 in the seventh. Down to the final three outs, Citrus' side was retired by Mosley to close out the game.
