Orlando City SC today announced it has acquired Swiss Super League midfielder Adrian Winter and former Real Madrid product David Mateos, pending completion their ITCs and P1 Visas. Additional details were not disclosed.

Both players are expected to join the Club in the coming weeks.

"We are delighted to have David and Adrian join our Club," said General Manager Paul McDonough. "Both are well-versed players who will strengthen our backline and attacking third. We believe they're solid additions to our club, who will make an impact right away."

Mateos, 28, joins the Club after climbing the ranks through Real Madrid's youth system for nearly seven years, even playing alongside City captain Kaká, before moving to the Hungarian side in 2013. The defender made 40 appearances in Ferencvárosi – the most popular soccer team in Hungary – scoring seven goals. He helped Ferencvárosi TC qualify for the 2015-16 UEFA Europa League, after the club finished second in the 2014-15 Hungarian League.

Previously, the Spaniard spent the 2011-12 season on loan with AEK Athens in Greece and Real Zaragoza in Spain.

Winter, 29, will strengthen the Lions' frontline as an attacking midfielder, heading into the second half of the season, providing over 200 appearances in the Swiss Super League and numerous UEFA Europa League features.

Winter joins Orlando City after spending the previous five seasons with FC Luzern, scoring 15 goals in 130 matches played with the club.
