The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have signed kicker Connor Barth and long snapper Brandon Hartson.

Barth (5-11, 193) returns to Tampa, where he played from 2009-13, appearing in 56 games, connecting on 91-of-108 field goals (84.3 pct.), while converting all 110 of his extra point attempts. His 84.3 field goal percentage is the highest by any kicker in team history. In 2011, Barth went 26-of-28 on field goal attempts, a .929 conversion rate that stands as the best single season in Buccaneers history and his stretch of 25 consecutive made field goals (10/6/11-9/30/12) is the longest streak in team history.

Barth originally entered the league in 2008 with the Kansas City Chiefs, as a college free agent out of North Carolina. After one season with Kansas City, Barth joined Tampa Bay for four seasons. Last year, the Wilmington, North Carolina native played in five regular season games with the Denver Broncos, going 15-of-16 on field goal attempts (93.8 pct.) and all 15 extra point attempts. He also played in Denver’s Divisional Round playoff game, making both field goal attempts and an extra point attempt

For his career, Barth has played in 71 regular season games, making 116-of-136 field goal attempts (85.3 pct.) and all 149 extra point attempts. Barth will wear No. 1 for the Buccaneers.

Hartson (6-2, 238) originally entered the NFL in 2013 as a college free agent with the Chicago Bears. He spent the offseason and preseason with Chicago in both 2013 and 2014, but did not appear in any regular season contests. This offseason, he spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers. Hartson will wear No. 86 for Tampa Bay.

The team also announced that they have waived kicker Brandon Bogotay and released linebacker Orie Lemon. Bogotay signed with the Buccaneers this offseason. Lemon played in 10 games for Tampa Bay last season, starting three, totaling 17 tackles, five tackles for loss and six special teams tackles.
