The Buccaneers have signed former Atlanta Falcons center Joe Hawley.

Hawley spent the five seasons with the Falcons. The Bakersfield, California native was drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

During his time in Atlanta, Hawley was part of an offensive line that helped block for Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who averaged 272.6 passing yards during that time (eighth-most in the NFL), throwing 143 touchdown passes (sixth-most in the NFL) for a 93.2 passer rating (ninth-best in the NFL), while being sacked on only 4.8 percent of his dropbacks (sixth-fewest in the NFL, min. 1,000 attempts).
