The Seminole Sharks and Steinbrenner Warriors inched closer to playing for the Lightning Cup Championship with win on the Game of the Week Wednesday night.

Seminole topped River Ridge 9-7 in a high scoring affair that included three hat tricks,

River Ridge did not trail until the third period when Seminole standout Beau Armstrong scored back to back goals to take a 9-7 lead.

Armstrong finished the night with a hat trick and an assist as the BHSN player of the game.

River Ridge goalie Connor Green was stellar with 27 saves in two periods.

River Ridge's forwards Dylan Hultberg and Jacob Schnapp also scored hat tricks in a losing effort.

River Ridge drops to 8-10, while Seminole's win increases their chances for a first round bye when they enter the playoffs next month.

The Steinbrenner Warriors special teams unit went into overdrive as the Warriors killed six penalties en route to a 4-2 win over Newsome Wednesday night.

Steinbrenner's penalty kill unit ranks among the top in the LHSHL and it showed.

The Warriors got on the board with a goal by forward Kyle Carathanasis who finished the night with two goals and BHSN's player of the game honors.

Newsome's Justin Walker and Mitchell Patterson scored in the loss.
