As the injuries continue to pile up, all the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can do is look forward.

On Wednesday, Dirk Koetter revealed the Doug Martin suffered a setback in his recovery from  a hamstring injury.

Martin missed practice again on Wednesday, and appears unlikely to play Sunday against the 49ers.

There is no timetable on his returne.

The good news: Gerald McCoy, who has been dealing with a calf injury, was back out there doing his thing in pads on the field.

However, the Bucs now have a new challenge.

They need to move forward in the passing game with Vincent Jackson on injured reserve with an ACL injury and out for at least several weeks.

"That's something that we can't control," quarterback Jameis Winston said.  "But luckily, we're blessed to have a leader like V-Jack who is that person who can help guide these people who are replacing him.  We trust those guys. And we're dependent on them. And they know that."

Koetter says Jackson isn't even sure when he was injured in the Bucs win at Carolina on Monday night football on October 10.

Now, the Bucs need to replace the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver.

"When someone goes down, you've got to step up and make plays," wide receiver Louis Murphy said.  "It's going to be called on for all the receivers to step up and make plays and put their best foot forward."

Murphy returned to practice earlier this week from his own stint on injured reserve and is eligible to be activated sometime within the next three weeks.

"The reality is- nobody cares," offensive coordinator Todd Monken said.  "Nobody cares who's playing. They want you to figure it out. That's what we do as coaches- figure out the puzzle. I really don't care what San Francisco's problems are. They don't care about ours. Their fans don't care. Our fans don't care. We have to figure it out. That's our job."

When Jackson missed time with an injury last year, the young Bucs receivers struggled at times.

This season, though, they have another veteran in the group to help in Jackson's absense.

Cecil Shorts expects to return for the San Francisco game and get his first game action since suffering a hamstring injury in week two.

"It's an NFL business, and the next guy's got to step up," Shorts said.  "Everybody in that room knows what Vince brought to the table.  So we're going to try to do our part and do the best we can."

Jameis Winston says he's recharged after the bye week.

Winston spent part of that time off in Alabama watching his younger brother play one of his first football games.

His younger brother accounted for 4 touchdowns on that day.

The Bucs would be more than happy to get those numbers from Famous Jameis against the Niners.
