The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has agreed to terms with safety Major Wright, waived running back Mike James and waived wide receiver Louis Murphy from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Wright (5-11, 204) spent the past two seasons with Tampa Bay (2014-15) and was with the team this past offseason and preseason. In his seven-year career, the Miramar, Florida native has started 51-of-75 games played, totaling 323 tackles, 10 for loss, 22 passes defensed, nine interceptions (returned 151 yards with three touchdowns), three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Wright, who played collegiately at Florida, will wear No. 31 for Tampa Bay.

James has played in four games for Tampa Bay this season, rushing four times for 19 yards and catching four passes for 22 yards.

Murphy has spent the season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list. He last played for Tampa Bay in 2015.

The team also announced that defensive tackle Rodney Coe has been signed to the practice squad. Defensive end Kourtnei Brown has been released from the practice squad.

Coe (6-3, 305) was previously on Tampa Bay’s practice squad this season. He originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Dallas Cowboys this past offseason. Coe, who played collegiately at Akron, was with Dallas until the end of the preseason. The Fulton, Mississippi native will wear No. 90 for Tampa Bay.
