For the first time in 46 years, the Clearwater Tornadoes finish the regular season undefeated, as they knocked off previously unbeaten East Lake 34-22.

A huge night from Jacquez Jones sealed the perfect season, as the Tennessee commit racked up 213 receiving yards and three TD receptions.  QB Austin Day finished with 261 passing yards.

East Lake rallied to within two at 24-22 in the fourth quarter on Xavier Jackson's four-yard TD run, but a home run deep ball to Jones that went 89 yards clinched the win for Clearwater.

Clearwater's defensive line pressured Eagles QB Tyler Rupe throughout the night, and limited East Lake's typically strong running game.  East Lake was held to just 188 total yards (118 rushing, 70 passing).  Up front it was Indiana commit Tramar Reece, and senior linemen Kane Taylor and Garet Chisholm wreaking havoc.

Rupe and Jakob Rosiek also contributed rushing touchdowns for East Lake.  Star receiver Bryce Miller was limited to five receptions for 48 yards.

Jarius Williams surpassed the 100-yd mark on the ground for the fourth time of the season, finishing with 109 yards including a 66-yd TD run in the third quarter.

Next week, Clearwater (9-0) hosts Port Charlotte in a 6A Region 3 Quarterfinal.  East Lake (7-1) hosts Durant in a 7A Region 3 Quarterfinal.
