Tampa Bay's defense is grabbing the lion share of the spotlight only allowing 10.6 points per game during their 3-game win streak but what about their offensive output?

It's three victories in a row for as they head to San Diego (5-6), but Dirk Koetter was left disappointed after the Seattle game. His offense was shutout for three quarters after two quick touchdowns. The team says too many missed opportunities can't follow them to the west coast.

"Fumble. Missed field goal. Getting in the red zone at the end of the game," said Bucs offensive tackle Demar Dotson. "I had a penalty they called on me. So, we had opportunities to put more on the board."

"Showing off how good our defense is," said Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston, who has 2,900 pass yards and 22touchdowns. "They played an amazing game. It's good to have a defense that can allow you to score 14 points and win."

Quick to gloss over the lack scoring, Winston did praise his offensive line.

"I have been clean and I don't like being clean," said Winston. "I'm a player that likes to play dirty. I don't like being clean and I have been."

"Ya know he might say that, but we still gotta protect him," said Dotson. "That's our franchise quarterback and we gotta do a good job of keeping him upright."

"Trust me I can draw as many pass routes as anybody out there on the chalkboard, but if you're quarterback's getting hit those routes are no good," said Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter.

Winston might get his dirty laundry wish this week. The San Diego defense isn't any defense. 2016 top overall pick DE Joey Bosa and crew lead the league with 14 picks and are second with 23 takeaways.

"The coaches have really stressed it," said Bucs tight end Cameron Brate. "As far as protecting the quarterback with the edge rushers that they have, but they also do a good job taking the ball away. Intercepting passes, forcing fumbles. Really protecting Jameis and protecting the football are two of our main goals this week."

"They (San Diego defense) do nothing spectacular, but they play hard and for some reason they find themselves around the QB," said Dotson.

The offensive line may also be blocking for Jaquizz Rodgers. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken did say they are hopeful for the running backs return from injury.

The Bucs are after their first four-game win streak since 2012, a run that coincidentally includes the last time they played the Chargers.
