The University of South Florida women’s basketball team returned to the national rankings in week 5, checking in at No. 22 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches polls.

The Bulls are 6-0 to start the season for the sixth time in program history and the fourth under head coach Jose Fernandez. USF has taken down two NCAA tournament teams from one year ago by a margin of +14.5 and is currently outscoring teams by 26 points per game. USF is just one of 19 remaining undefeated teams in Division I.

USF currently ranks fifth in Division I with 10.5 three-point field goals per game, led by Kitija Laksa who leads the country with 4.83 three-point field goals per game. The Bulls have held opponents to 65 points or less, including FIU to just 41 points last week, a season low.

The Bulls ended last season at No. 22 and have received votes every week this season. USF’s highest program ranking is No. 15, which it reached last season Jan. 18, the 11th week of the 2015-16 season.

USF returns to action Sunday, Dec. 11 at Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Ark. at 3 p.m. ET.
