Henry Sawyer and Javier Rodriguez took center stage inside champion stadium on Wednesday afternoon in front of a packed Braves and Cardinals crowd. In just 50 days they’ll do it again.

"To kind of be here and see this is where we’re going to be at, I’m super excited," retired Navy officer Rodriguez said. "As soon as I walked in with my son I was like can we start tomorrow? Let’s get the ball rolling, I don’t want to wait."

The Invictus Games are coming to Orlando and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. It’s the only international adaptive sporting event for wounded, ill, and injured active duty and veteran service members. More than 500 competitors from 15 countries will take part in 10 sports. A chance to bond in an unlikely arena.

"We’ve got respect for each other because we’ve served our nations," Australian competitor Paul Warren said. "We’ve worked alongside the US and the Brits on operations to come and work together with those guys."

But make no mistake, they’re still coming here to win.

"We are going to win, yes, we’re going to win," reitred Navy officer Sawyer said. "So just being able to represent the US that’s a big accomplishment."

"I have gold on my mind right now, because in 2014 we had the same mindset, we got silver, it’s great but this year I want to win," said the St. Cloud resident Rodriguez.

With the stadium clapping and cheering them on once again.
