Jesuit has a national champion.

Freshman Julian Ramirez won the national championship in the freshman division, 152-pound weight class, at the National High School Coaches Association National Championships this past weekend in Virginia Beach.

Ramirez won the title in dominating fashion. He pinned his opponent in the championship match, had two other matches with pins in less than a minute and also recorded two wins by technical fall.

Last month, Ramirez won the Class 2A 152-pound state title. This past season, he pinned every opponent he faced at District, Region and State, all in the first period. In the quarterfinals, semis and finals at state, Ramirez pinned his opponents in less than a minute.
