The Tampa Bay Buccaneers held their last open Organized Team Activity (OTA) practice on Thursday.  The position battle at cornerback is definitely heating up.  One of the standouts throughout OTA’s has been rookie cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, who had two interceptions on the day with one being a tipped ball in the end zone.

Head Coach Dirk Koetter said Hargreaves is explosive, smart, competitive, and can play cornerback and nickelback.  Koetter said that’s exactly why they drafted him- to compliment a secondary that is showing the team as a whole how to compete on every play.

Cornerback Alterraun Verner also spoke highly of Hargreaves, and said he’s excited to see guys like Hargreaves and Defensive End Noah Spence make plays.  For more on Bucs’ OTA’s, click on the link.
