The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wrapped up their final open, public practice on Wednesday without much practice from kicker Roberto Aguayo.  The Bucs’ beleaguered kicker only saw action on two kickoffs on Wednesday.  Right guard Ali Marpet also didn’t practice on Wednesday, sporting a walking boot on his right foot.  Tampa Bay head coach Dirk Koetter was silent on Marpet’s injury.  But, with J.R. Sweezy out at left guard, Koetter did discuss making adjustments at the guard position.

“Just in the last couple of days, we got some guys nicked up.  Bottom line is, it’s 18 days to Atlanta (whom the Bucs play in the regular season opener).  And, we have to worry about having the best 46 guys we can out there on September 11th.  We’re going to mix and match lineups based on trying to protect guys’ health.  With our guard situation today, Evan (Smith) had to play primarily at guard.  How it ends up on the 11th is going to somewhat depend on health at other positions”.

The Bucs’ offense got off to a better start.  Quarterback Jameis Winston said although the Browns secondary challenged the Bucs, he said it was still good to face a different look on defense.

“The Browns’ fronts were really the most difficult part of practice because we've never seen it before.  We see a lot of good DB’s in the NFL.  But, playing against Joe Haden and Tramon Williams is real good”.

The Buccaneers will take on the Browns in their first home preseason game on Friday at 8:00pm at Raymond James Stadium.
