The girl's basketball doubleheader from the Northeast High School Shootout at Redding Court showcased some major talent on Saturday afternoon.

In the first game, between #3 Tampa Catholic and #7 Clearwater, was a back and forth affair, with both teams switching leads several times. But the Crusaders, led by Spectrum Sports Player of the Game Alise Davis, would not be denied. Davis put the team on her back with 20 points and 21 rebounds, as Tampa Catholic outscored the Tornadoes 15-3 in the 4th quarter to go on to win 62-52.

In the second game, which saw the #1 ranked Seffner Christian Crusaders take on the Palm Harbor Univ. Hurricanes, was a thrilling first half, with Palm Harbor taking the lead into halftime by two points. But Seffner Chrisitian, led by sophomore Brylee Bartram, who shot 50% from three and had 23 points, came storming out in the 3rd quarter. The Crusaders would outscore the Lady Hurricanes 28-12 in the 3rd quarter and went on to win their 21st consecutive game 69-53. Bartram would take home player of the game honors.

Next up, Seffner Christian will travel to play Tampa Catholic on January 23rd, in a matchup of top 5 teams, while Palm Harbor will travel to Clearwater on January 25th.
