Los Angeles Rams at Jacksonville Jaguars

When: Sunday, 4:05pm

Where: EverBank Field, Jacksonville

TV: FOX

Coaches: Los Angeles – Sean McVay, 1st season (3-2, 3-2 overall); Jacksonville – Doug Marrone, 1st season (3-2, 19-20 overall)

About the matchup:

It’s only the Jaguars second true home game of the season, as they host the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday for a late afternoon match-up. The Jaguars are in search of consistency, as they have been unable to string together back-to-back wins this season.

Last week, the Jags trounced Pittsburgh on the road, with two pick 6’s and five turnovers total. Considering Rams QB Jared Goff committed three turnovers in Week 5, the Jaguars have an opportunity to add to their takeaway totals, a category they currently lead the league in.

So far this season, QB Blake Bortles has not thrown for more than 250 yards, as Jacksonville instead relies on the rushing game. Not only do the Jags lead the NFL in rushing yards with 826, but rookie RB Leonard Fournette is second in the league with 466 to his name, including the 90 yard touchdown run against the Steelers last weekend.

The Jags enter the game as early home favorites, with a battle of the running game expected.

Three and out:

1. Interestingly enough, the Jacksonville Jaguars have followed every win on an even week, with a loss on an odd week this season.

2.  The Jags lead the NFL in several statistical categories including rushing yards, takeaway differential, sacks, and interceptions.

3.  EverBank Field doesn’t give the Jags much of a home field advantage, as the team actually has the worst winning percentage at home from the start of the 2012 season until now with a record of 9-28.
