No. 12/14 UCF Knights at Temple Owls

When: Saturday, 12:00 pm

Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA.

TV: ESPNU

Coaches: UCF – Scott Frost, 2nd Season (9-0, 15-7 overall); Temple – Geoff Collins, 1st season (5-5, 5-5 overall)

About the matchup:

The UCF Knights look to continue their undefeated streak, going for their 10th win of the season on the road at Temple. With only two games left in the year, the Knights chances of undefeated are looking more and more promising.

One thing UCF needs to avoid is overconfidence. With next week’s Black Friday matchup with USF putting the conference championship berth on the line, it would be easy to overlook the Temple Owls. But according to freshman WR/RB Otis Anderson, the Knights have their priorities straight. “The next game is a very important game because we can lose this game and then win USF and that would kind of tarnish our season and where we want to be. So we just have to take every game as serious as possible,” said Anderson during media availability this week.

The Knights also wouldn’t mind exacting some revenge against Temple for last season’s ruined homecoming. UCF jumped out to a 25-7 lead before allowing 19 unanswered points for a 26-25 loss.

Three and out:

1. The Knights’ current nine-game winning streak has tied the program record, matching 2013’s nine wins a row. If the Knights can get to 10-0, it’d be the first time in history.

2.  UCF’s current ranking of 15 in the College Football Playoff rankings is the highest ranking for any Group of 5 team this season.

3.  The Knights continue to lead the nation in scoring offense with 48.6 points a game.
