A disastrous third period for Orlando kept the ECHL South Division semifinal series alive as the Florida Everblades defeated Orlando, 5-1, Sunday at Amway Center in front of 5,211 fans.

After a scoreless first period, Michael Kirkpatrick opened the scoring for Florida 4:58 into the second period.

With a 1-0 score entering the third, Florida scored twice within the first minute and a half of the final period, extending the lead to 3-0.

Justin Buzzeo tallied a goal for Orlando at the 5:55 mark of the third, but two goals within 22 seconds of each other by Florida sealed the victory for the Everblades.

Orlando still leads the best-of-seven series 3-2, but Game 6 and a potential Game 7 will both be on the Everblades' home ice in Estero. Game 6 is Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., while Game 7 would be the following night if it is necessary.
