The Celebration Storm defeated the Lake Howell Silver Hawks 4-1 Wednesday night at Osceola County Stadium to advance to their first-ever region semifinal. The school opened in 2003.

The game was televised on Spectrum Sports.

The scoring came early for Celebration as its bats came alive right from the beginning. Storm seniors Adams Torres and Louis "Bomby" Rodriguez  both had RBI doubles to help Celebration take a 2-0 lead. A passed ball by Silver Hawks pitcher Matt Levenson led to a 3-0 Celebration lead after one inning.

Rodriguez added another RBI single in the fifth inning to make the score 4-0. Rodriguez went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and two RBI on the evening.

Torres, who will be playing as an infielder at UCF next season, pitched a masterful four-hit complete game while striking out five batters.

Silver Hawks standout senior centerfielder Garrett Green accounted for Lake Howell's only run with an RBI single in the sixth inning.

Green was recently named as an All-Seminole Athletic Conference first-team selection along with teammate Matt Levenson.

Lake Howell's season ends with a 14–14 record while Celebration (21-7) advances to play Hagerty next Tuesday in the region semifinals.
