USF senior QB Quinton Flowers and senior CB Deatrick Nichols were both named to watch lists for national awards recognizing the top players in college football.
Flowers was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List (Best all-around player) and Nichols was named to the Bednarik Award Watch list (Best Defensive Player) for the second straight season.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced October 30, while the three finalists for each award will be unveiled November 20.
The winners of the 2017 Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on December 7.
