On a recent visit to the Jacksonville area we linked up with the good folks at Kayak Amelia, the official outfiiters for the Talbot Islands State Parks. Our guide for the day was Nick Agonis and he led us on a wonderful tour of Fort George Island on Segways. These protected, 'wild' lands are perfect for wildlife viewing and just getting away from it all. The staff at Kayak Amelia also realize that these fragile ecosystems need to be protected from human encroachment and they believe the best way to accomplish this is to get folks to spend time in the environment and learn the stories of the critters that call it home.

Kayak Amelia has been sharing nature with others for 20 years and segway tours are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the nature tours they offer. Also on two-wheels, they offer bicycle tours of Fort George Island along with kayak eco-tours and even yoga on standup paddleboards. All of their tour guides are Master Naturalists so they're full of information about the environment they're taking you out in.

So on your next trip to Jacksonville, be sure to get out and experience one of their awesome tours. Give them a call today to book your tour at (904) 251-0016. For more information about the various tours and rentals they offer visit the Kayak Amelia website.
