The Reggie Crume football era started with a victory Thursday night.  Although it was a preseason game, the Hurricanes used a second half rally to beat Jesuit, 40-21.

Trailing 21-14 at halftime, PHU scored 26 unanswered points.

In the fourth quarter, PHU quarterback Brandon Swift hit Arkez Cason for a 14-yard touchdown pass.  The extra point failed, so they trailed 21-20.

On the ensuing Jesuit drive, Andrew Lo intercepted the ball and returned it 35 yards to put PHU up for good.

Palm Harbor senior, Stephen Charron led the run game for the Hurricanes.  He ripped off a 75-yard scoring run just 35 seconds into the game.  Malik Davis led Jesuit's ground game with two rushing touchdowns.

Matt Caron added two touchdown receptions for PHU.

PHU went 5-5 in 2013 and will begin their quest to make the playoffs next week at East Lake.  Jesuit's regular season opener is home against Hardee.

Reggie Crume took over PHU in February.  He replaces Matt LePain.
