Andy Wontor, Reporter
Andy joins the Spectrum Sports team as a Sports Reporter/MMJ after working for several years in Charleston, South Carolina. Being a Miami native, and University of Florida graduate, she was excited to once again call the Sunshine State home!
Andy spent her teenaged years in a magnet broadcasting program at South Miami Middle and High School. After working in a “newsroom” since 7th grade, majoring in broadcasting at UF was the logical choice.
Once in college, Andy got her first broadcasting opportunities in sports – and there was no looking back from there. Combining a childhood love of sports with her love of reporting was the best. Plus, covering the Gators during their national championship runs in basketball and football made it all the sweeter.
After graduation, Andy started her broadcasting career as a Sports and News Reporter in the booming metropolis of Casper, Wyoming. At KTWO she learned everything there is to know about freezing temperatures and rodeos. From there it was on to a much-needed sunnier climate, working as the Weekend Sports Anchor at WCBD in Charleston, South Carolina.
Andy is excited to now call Orlando home! In her free time she loves watching her teams play, yoga, cooking and visiting with family and friends – most especially her little nephew who loves bossing his “Tia” around.
How many spring training games do you plan on attending this year?
