Drew Fellios, Play-by-Play & Reporter
It isn't as exhilarating as actually playing the game, but broadcasting the big game is a close second.
Drew Fellios says that's why he's a sportscaster.
"I figured when my athletic career was done, there was only one way to be involved in sports. Coaching was my next option because I love sports so much," Fellios said.
Drew broke into the business in 1996 when he completed his first internship at FOX 13. After graduating from Florida State in 1997, he then began gathering experience from stations all across the country.
Those stops included six months at WDTV in West Virginia, nine months producing at WTVT in Tampa, two years as a reporter at WCTV in Tallahassee and four years as sports director at KOLN, the CBS affiliate in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In April 2005, Drew returned home to be part of the launch of Catch 47, what is now known as Bright House Sports Network. His main beat is amateur athletics, covering the high school scene unlike any other television reporter in the Bay area. He is also BHSN's main play-by-play broadcaster covering the High School Game of the Week and FHSAA state championship coverage.
Drew was born and raised in Tampa and is a Leto High School graduate. He lives in Largo and when he's not working enjoys working out, shopping, eating, and spending time with his family.
