Russia took center stage in Senate hearings on Wednesday, while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio laid out the play-by-play of the day on social media.

Rubio went live on Facebook to start the day.

He gave some talking points of what to expect from his workday in Washington. Among items in his daily agenda, Rubio mentioned a planned meeting with U2's Bono to talk about aid to Africa.

He also explained the Senate Republican health care bill process.

Rubio defended his colleagues working on the Senate version of the American Health Care Act, also known as Trumpcare.

Rubio previewed another Senate hearing with intelligence officials on Russian interference in the 2016 Election.

"How did the Russians interfere in our elections?" Rubio asked in his Facebook Live video. "What did they try to do? And the reason that's important is because we want to be prepared for the next election."

During the hearings, officials told senators at least 21 states were targeted for hacking by Russians on orders of President Vladimir Putin.

Jeh Johnson, former homeland security secretary under the President Barack Obama administration, had an answer for senators.

"I know of no evidence that, through cyber intrusion, votes were altered or suppressed in some way," said Johnson.

Below is a summary of Sen. Rubio's Facebook Live:

-Explainer on what the big health care debate is all about according to him. Why a small group of Republican senators have met behind closed doors to craft what he calls a "starting point" to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. What to expect from the Republican bill and what he wants to see in it as well.

-His criteria whether he’ll vote for the bill -- if it's good for Florida, good for America and better than Obamacare. If not, there's more work to do.

-One more week to go in the session until July 4 recess. He’ll be visiting Kennedy Space Center during the break.
