Ever imagine being in a situation where a stranger disciplined your child?

Unfortunately one Georgia father had to deal with that exact situation at a Kroger's grocery store.

The father, Logan Morris, said a stranger spanked his son after the boy asked his dad for candy in the checkout aisle.

Morris said the incident happened so fast he didn't have time to react.

"He grabbed my son's left hand and smacked it, turned him around and smacked his rear end -- I want to say three times," he said.

Police were forced to tackle the man to the ground inside the grocery store. They said the suspect has a long history with law enforcement and has been booked 50 times over the past ten years -- mostly for public drunkenness.

Officers said he was drunk at the time of the incident as well.

The man was charged with child cruelty and is being held without bond.
