A former Lake County teacher is accused of inappropriate conduct with one of his students.
Felix Diaz, a former teacher at South Lake High, has been arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious conduct.
The 15-year-old victim told investigators that Diaz asked him to stay behind after school to help move boxes.
The teen said Diaz asked him to go into a classroom closet with him to change into shorts. According to an arrest report, Diaz told him “it was OK because he was in the military and saw naked men before.”
The victim also said Diaz touched him and attempted to have sex with him off school grounds and more charges could be filed.
Diaz’s contract was not renewed before the arrest, but the Lake County School Board hasn’t given a reason.
