Every Friday after Thanksgiving downtown Leesburg transforms into a winter wonderland.

  • Annual Christmas Stroll transforms downtown Leesburg
  • Includes Christmas tree lighting, live entertainment

This year's 20th annual Christmas Stroll included the lighting of a 24-foot musical Christmas tree, live entertainment and lots of Christmas lights.

Santa also stopped by the free event that included snow!  Officials say it's the kickoff to the Christmas season.

"It's the holidays, it's a way everybody gets into the spirit and it gives a sense of community and brings everyone downtown and shop at our stores and eat at our restaurants and see what we got going on in downtown Leesburg," said Joanie Smalley with the Leesburg Partnership.

There will be another day of holiday entertainment in historic downtown Leesburg next Saturday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a parade at 6 p.m.

On Dec. 8, the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales will stop in Leesburg at 6 p.m.
